Safety in hospitality is a non-negotiable, as a safe environment and safe operations will ensure that legal compliance requirements are met, that you don’t cause harm, avoid legal action and demonstrate due diligence.

Safety will also save the business money as  poor food safety leads to wastage, and possibly loss of reputation, while poor kitchen safety can result in accidents that could impact on kitchen efficiency and production. 

You have already studied the foundations of food safety and workplace safety. In this module you will learn how to manage these processes and take responsibility for the safety of a hospitality establishment.
